Wet’suwet’en solidarity

LANDBACK Friends

As happened with last year’s violent attacks on the Wet’suwet’en by militarized Royal Canadian Mounted Police, many other First Nations peoples are taking actions in solidarity and support.

How To Deal With Failure

Anna's Styles

Accept Failure.

The first step in dealing with failure is to accept that failure is natural. We all have bad days and weeks. Days that nothing seems to go right and our brain has nothing left in it. Failure hurts, at least for the first time. Failure is absolutely normal and acceptable. Its ok to fail sometimes. Most days, I feel like my life is a test I didn’t study for. And it’s like I’m being huddled into getting an F with a deserving ass whooping. But mind you, failing an obstacle course or a test over and over again is not normal. You’re not just a failure, you’re a dull head. If you can’t succeed at the little things you do, then skydiving is definitely not for you. In a day when you don’t come across problems, then you are definitely travelling on the wrong path or probably lost…

I don’t know what our Prime Minister is doing

Lolsys Library

I don’t even know where to begin with our Prime Minister of Australia. I think he think’s, he’s a mini Trump or something?

He put forward a Religious Discrimination Bill, which short wise means, Religions get extra protection against discrimination (mainly Christian/Catholic)? Like, I don’t even know what the problem is. He came out saying that basically the LGBTQIA community don’t have to worry, this isn’t about them. It’s just adding extra protection to Religions…

Everyone was like …

Wha …

We already have Laws and Rules in place about Discrimination. You already cannot discriminate against someone because of their Religion.

Most Religions are multi-billion industries. I will call them that, they also got extra payments from the Australian Government during COVID. Some Churches were getting hundreds, thousands when there was only one or two people there. Since, just like other first world Countries, Religions don’t get taxed. The public…

Tomato Basil Bruschetta

Tanooki Homemade Cafe

Hi there, are you still having a food coma from the Thanksgiving feast?

I think some of my Thanksgiving feast items are still in my stomach, but skipping meals is a big NO NO, so let’s cook something light!

When I went to an Italian restaurant with my college friends, we usually had calamari fries and enjoyed them a lot. But after graduation and I was the only one who stayed in the US, my lunch/dinner buddy also changed to my-date-who-later-become-my-husband. He isn’t a big fan of fried food or seafood except sushi, so this was the time I met bruschetta. I knew he wasn’t a big fan of fresh tomatoes so immediately after he ordered that, I thought that was for me. It turned out their bruschetta was so good and we both enjoyed them a lot(Now I’m glad we’re still in the stage of loving each other a…

Censura

Pensamentos.me/VEM comigo!

The Moon Makes Silver

yaskhan

I open my window letting in the moonlight
I see an owl on a moonbeam flight

The moon makes silver on my pillow
Runes scatter on the weeping willow

My window dusted with dreams open
Night blooms hold my words, unspoken

Calligraphy of the cosmos in the skies
Changes the color in my eyes

Only the November wind between me and the sky
And all the nature I can descry.
