Prof John Potter: ‘Not just a respiratory virus’ – Long Covid warnings for unvaxxed | RNZ (Me: Show to stupid and hateful anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers!)

“Two hundred and seventy thousand Covid survivors, and they followed them, and between a third and a half had symptoms three to six months later,” Potter said speaking today to Saturday Morning.

“And those are a wide variety of symptoms that are indicative of the fact that this particular virus infects a lot of different parts of us. It’s not just a respiratory virus.”

“It’s a virus that gets into lots of organs and has downstream consequences that are really nasty for a lot of people.”

Long Covid symptoms can include breathing problems, abdominal symptoms, fatigue, pain, anxiety and depression.

Victims can have myalgia, pain in the muscles, which can present similar to chronic fatigue syndrome.

“Abnormal breathing persists in a decent percentage of people almost 20 percent of people because of damage to the lungs,” Potter said.

“Some people have headaches and cognitive symptoms which tells us that it does damage to the brain.”

Molnupiravir: pill against Covid-19 can be produced in Brazil – Mágica Mistura を

Fiocruz is negotiating the production of molnupiravir in Brazil. The medicine, developed by the pharmaceutical company MSD (known as Merck, Sharp & Dohme in the USA and Canada), has already shown positive results against Covid-19 and its main advantage is its offering in capsules, which allows home treatment. The news was published this Friday (15) at Folha de S. Paulo.

Molnupiravir works as follows: when metabolized in the body, it becomes a molecule capable of introducing errors in the genetic code of Sars-CoV-2. Thus, the virus cannot replicate, which prevents the development of severe symptoms of the disease.

To test the drug, MSD researchers followed 775 adult volunteers who were at the beginning of Covid-19 infection. Half of them received placebo; the other took the medicine. All study participants had some type of comorbidity and could progress to severe disease conditions.

Within the group that took a placebo, eight people ended up dying; in which he took the pill, no deaths were recorded. Molnupiravir also decreased the chances of hospitalization by 48%. Due to these results, MSD filed for emergency use of the drug with the FDA (Food And Drug Administration), the American Anvisa.

School of Yoga explainsSuryanamaskar(Sun Salutation)

Since the advent of consciousness, man has always recognised the role of the Sun in his life.

So, early man attributed all life to the energy of the Sun. In fact, in India the qualities of the Sun were aggregated into a deity calledSavita.

Savita was also the Deity of rta or excellence in Sanskrit. Interestingly, Rta is a cognate of Asa in Persian and Arête (perfection in Greek). Also, daily prayers were called Sandhyavandana (worship of Sun’s transition) and the exercise was called Suryanamaskar (Sun salutation). Additionally, a very important Vedic prayer was Aditya Hridayam(Heart of the Sun), which was supposed to infuse valour and remove fear.

Many temples in India, such as one at Konarak and Suryanar Koil venerate the Sun. Also, there’s one in Multan, Pakistan. Additionally, there’s a temple in Beijing, Mayan…
