LITTLE CHEF’S APRON

Hi everyone! Eating ice cream on a hot summer day is how I love my it.

This is a very easy recipe and you can make it with ingredients readily available.

starting off with the recipe,

Ingredients:

1 cup milk

1/3 cup milk

3 tbsp sugar

4 tbsp cocoa powder

2 tbsp cornflour

1/4 cup condensed milk

1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate

1 cup dairy whipping cream

1/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

First add the 1 cup milk to a pan and let it come to a boil.

In another bowl, add the 1/3 cup milk, cornflour, cocoa powder and sugar.

Give it a good mix and add it to the boiling milk. Add the condensed milk and chocolate to this.

The consistency should not be too thin or too thick as it would thicken after cooling too.

Add the cream to a bowl with an ice bath underneath it…

I Wear Your Skin

yaskhan

Sister, I wear your skin
I feel your unspoken pain
The anger of a simmering flame
I feel your fears
I see unshed tears
You have to fight to belong
You have to be strong
Sister, I feel the rape of honour
I feel my skin crawl at the destructive macabre .

Brother, I wear your skin
I feel the words in your throat
I feel you speaking bright, colored
I feel your heart beating
I feel your hope fleeting
I feel you tear inside
But then, you have to decide
You’d rather explode
And feel the inner applause .

I wear your skin
I wear all the metaphors for pain .

Ann and Anna, (serial short story, Part 3): Trust

Context, Thought, and Learning: ShiraDest Offers Project Do Better

   Part 2 was last Sunday…

The apple in my mouth turned to bile, as the smell of corn and tobacco mingled with the odor of my own fear.  My entire body began to tremble, my hand shaking almost uncontrollably.  It moved as if of its own accord, seeking out the solace of my sewing basket.  What I began hours ago, I would finish, now, before those horses arrived, carrying a far worse fate with them.  I was drawing the scissors out of my basket when a shadow fell across me.  The moon had just come out, and Anna had stood up, still leaning against the wagon:

     “Right on time.”

She looked from my wide eyes to my sewing basket, nodding toward my still bloody left forearm.

“You didn’t really think I’d stop here and just wait on those patrollers to…

Will Degrowth Replace Green Growth? — Heliocene

Barbara Crane Navarro

Degrowth is a ludicrous idea to many business people. Yet, it is beginning to be spoken about by science and non governmental business influencers who have strong mainstream credibility. This mirrors early patterns of attention given to climate change decades ago, when mass industrial decarbonisation seemed absurd. Degrowth Is The New Conversation What is Degrowth?[…]

Reflections on Indigenous Peoples’ Day: We Are The Dreams of Our Ancestors… What Future Are We Dreaming Into Reality? — SM(Art) Bombs Comics

‘La Madre Mariposa’ an original artwork by Laura R. Morris, 2021. Today is Indigenous People’s Day in the lands now known as the United States. I wish to express Gratitude to my Indigenous relatives. I recognize that my (mostly) European ancestors would have died had they not been shown mercy. Because of those first acts[…]
