Three large studies, published on Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, also highlighted the effectiveness of the shots at preventing infection and hospitalizations with the virus. The research underscored a deep conviction among scientists that vaccine hesitancy and refusal have prolonged the pandemic. The administration’s new plan should stem the flood of infections and return the country to some semblance of normalcy in the long term, several experts said in interviews. “It’s going to fundamentally shift the arc of the current surge,” said Dr. Ashish Jha, dean of Brown University School of Public Health. “It’s exactly what’s needed at this moment.” The new data also may help bolster confidence in the nation’s vaccines, which has eroded amid unexpected reports of breakthrough infections. One of the studies looked at more than 600,000 virus infections in 13 states, representing about one quarter of the U.S. population, between April and July. The researchers concluded that Americans who were not fully vaccinated were far more susceptible to infections, illness and death from the virus.

The unpublished memos that warned Blair against military action after 9/11 | openDemocracy
Tony Blair was warned not to support US military action, according to a 20-year-old briefing published for the first time by openDemocracy. The five-page document, written in the immediate aftermath of the al-Qaida attacks, warned that invading Afghanistan would be “counterproductive” and would be “precisely what the group wants”. The briefing was penned by an unofficial policy adviser, Paul Rogers, who had been encouraged by Downing Street to write briefings for Blair’s government.
The memo was sent six days after 9/11, and shortly before President Bush declared his “war on terror”. Copies were also sent to 12 other senior ministers, including the then foreign secretary, Jack Straw. One of the former ministers who received the briefing two decades ago today admitted that it had been “full of foresight and should have been acted on”.

I Wish You All Enough
Trust and Believe In The Unseen
I wish you all enough love, that you’ll never go another day, week, month, or year not feeling love in yourselves or others.
I wish you all enough peace in your hearts, as when you were a youth you had no worries for mom and dad were taking care of things. Now, just do your parts of taking care of yourselves and others with peace in your hearts.
I wish you all enough life, that you will never go another day in your life doubting to had not lived your life to the fullest over death. For Life is freedom, love, prosperity, and overall eternal life! Heaven!

Major Challenges Faced by Environmental Conservation
“The negative impacts of environmental problems have always necessitated the call for effective implementation of environmental conservation practices which are aimed at managing, protecting, and preserving natural environments (land, air, and water) and ecosystems, or restoring degraded natural environments and ecosystems to their natural state.
However, attempts to implement environmental conservation practices usually encounter stiff challenges that have made it difficult to eliminate or remediate environmental problems such as soil erosion, desertification, climate change and severe weather, increased droughts, global warming, increasing ocean acidity, environmental (air, land, and water) pollution, loss of biodiversity, aquifer depletion, etc.”
Air, land, and water environments consist of numerous vital natural resources that have been used to produce food and other necessities of life, and sustain the majority of living organisms since the Earth came into existence.
Human activities tied to the use of natural resources, especially during the past few decades, have degraded most air, land, and water environments and caused a ton of environmental problems that have held a firm grip on the world.

Video: Palestinian doctor shot dead by Israeli occupation police in Jerusalem | PNN
A Palestinian medical doctor was announced dead on Friday evening shortly after he was shot and critically injured by Israeli occupation forces in the old city of Jerusalem, according to witnesses.
Israeli police officers reportedly opened gunfire at Dr. Hazem Joulani near Bab al-Majlis, one of the main gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, critically injuring him. The Israeli police also denied access of Palestinian civilians who attempted to provide him with first aid.
The Palestinian Detainees Affairs Commission said Joulani, who was rushed to Hadasah Medical Center for treatment, was announced dead of his wounds a couple of minutes later.

The Fight For Zero – by Erin Brockovich and Suzanne Boothby – The Brockovich Report
Where do we start? No one ever anticipates getting into this kind of advocacy work. It all started for me in 2013. My uncle, not blood-related, but he actually lived with my family because he was married to my dad’s sister, who was my aunt. She had passed away and he had nowhere else to go, and so he lived with us most of our lives. He was diagnosed with cancer. We didn’t think anything of it. We just thought, “Oh, old age, you know, that really sucks.” He passed away pretty quickly because it was very advanced. A few months later, our family dog got cancer. Still, we didn’t think much of it, as the dog was old too. When my 21-year-old, brother was diagnosed with cancer a few months later, we all started thinking, “That’s a weird coincidence.” Three months later, I was diagnosed with cancer. My husband served more than a decade in the military and he was deployed during this time. I was pregnant and giving birth to a baby completely alone, and I was also facing cancer and they didn’t send him home when I got diagnosed with cancer. He did come home from deployment in Afghanistan, a few months later, but that’s not even the crazy part. My father was diagnosed with cancer too. It
