    1. Same thing happened in Portland, Oregon. When downtown gentrified, workers who used to live downtown, can only afford upriver rentals 40 miles away. As Vail, Colorado downtown did same thing, workers now can only afford to live 40-50 miles out of town. Greed of owners of rental land owners has no limits, it seems.
