Painfully Shy

themacbit

Experts believe 77% of the human population has some level of stage fright. Yesterday, I was chatting with a new reader of our blog, my new friend Eddie(changed name). He shared the problem of his stage fright. As promised, this article is dedicated to the ghost inside our brains and the butterflies inside our stomach.

I went back to my psychology notes to figure out the truth. Fear of performing in public is often driven by the fear of embarrassment. We worry about being perceived or judged by others. Extreme fear of public speaking is called Glossophobia.

The other day, I was playing with my four-year-old cousin. Her mischievous and funny acts entertain me a lot. I am never bored of playing with children. The children don’t worry about being judged. Despite having no intention, they hook the attention of the audience with their mischiefs. Children teach us great lessons…

We named her Wilma

Roadtirement

Sher and I were thrilled a couple of days ago when we saw for just a second a stunning Pileated Woodpecker who came in and landed on our tree. Almost immediately it took off.  Yesterday, however, another (maybe the same?) Pileated female came in and ended up feeding from one of the suet cages.

Notice the little Nuthatch that photobombed the video? The size of Wilma seems to have spooked it from the suet cage.

Nothing Goes In Vain

Shayan's Sphere

In this fleeting life with endless quests
For fame and powers and gains,
Oh, I trust, I trust with buoyant breast
That nothing does go in vain.

Oh, the esteemed pen that lose its words
And efforts that end with pain,
Or the plaintive prayers that stay unheard
Oh, nothing does go in vain.

For the tranquil whiles and pleasant hours
That today remain unsung,
Shall tomorrow turn in silken flowers
And make me bold and young.

And the constant falls and dismal songs

And no wish sleeps and merges with dust
For nothing does…

Glaciers That Don’t Melt – Perito Moreno – Seniors Around The World

Despite climate change and global warming, they still exist, the glaciers that are not melting but, on the contrary, are still growing. One of these few glaciers is the Perito Moreno Glacier, which is one of the mightiest glaciers in Campo de Hielo Sur, the largest glacier area in the South American Andes. It is located in Patagonia in the south of the American continent and is one of the most spectacular natural sights. Beyond the poles, it forms the largest inland glacier and for that reason alone is a superlative event.

Born to Bloom – Bio-Blogger

They buried us in unmarked graves,
We turned the graves into gardens.
We are not dead slaves
but sacred seeds buried to bloom.

We were thrown into the fire
but we came out with sparkles.
We are not a complete wreckage
but nascent gems with crinkles.

We were pressed and crushed,
we bled and became exotic wine.
Painful processes we endure
knowing that we were born to bloom.
