NM education leader not concerned with lack of social distancing in schools | KFOX (Really dumb view!)

Shortly after the visit was over, KFOX14 learned that not even four days into resuming in-person learning, a class at Mayfield High School is having to be quarantined due to a student testing positive for COVID-19.

“Yes, and that’s accurate. Quarantining the class is precautionary and in protocol with NMDOH guidelines,” Kelly Jameson, a spokesperson for Las Cruces Public Schools, said.

KFOX14 was able to visit multiple schools on Tuesday for the first day back to in-person learning at full capacity.

We were at Las Cruces High during a passing period and as you can see in the video below, dozens of students are extremely close together going down the halls.
