Boris Johnson declares he is ‘fervently Sinophile’ as UK woos China

Can’t help being a Brit-Trump – say anything-do anything to look good… at the moment…

PM seeks to strengthen UK trade ties with Beijing at No 10 roundtable despite Uighur abuses

The UK is seeking to strengthen its economic and trade links with China after Boris Johnson stated he was “fervently Sinophile” and determined to improve ties “whatever the occasional political difficulties”.

The prime minister’s remarks at a Downing Street roundtable with Chinese businesses are likely to infuriate backbenchers in his Conservative party who want the government to take a tougher approach to Beijing’s human rights abuses.

Ted Cruz Is Literally Addicted to F###ing Up – (not quarantining after visit to Mexico)

Cruz’s clear attempt at reputational damage control after abandoning millions of people suffering from freezing weather, water shortages, power outages, and more has backfired in more ways than one. Not only are a lot of people reportedly not buying Cruz’s super performative charity posturing—I mean, look at the material—but the dude actually put every person in those photos at increased risk of covid transmission just by taking them! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advise travelers returning to the United States from Mexico to self-quarantine for a week and get tested for covid-19 before resuming normal activities, scientist Peter Gleick tells BI. Being a psycho politician who stages photo opps to make yourself look good isn’t a “normal” activity by any stretch of the imagination, but you know what I mean. Probably not something he should’ve been doing mere days after traveling internationally during a global pandemic. Source: Ted Cruz Is Literally Addicted to Fucking Up

    Simple Sweet-Potato Cauliflower Stir fry

    Smitha's Bake Love

    If you like to have
veggies for lunch but not in a boring way, then this simple style is for you. I
like to have my veggie/fruits servings by lunch time, so that I can go for
other food groups in the later part of the day. I went for this simple stir fry
so that its both sweet and spicy at the same time.

Both Sweet Potatoes and Cauliflower are rich in Vitamin C, Magnesium and Antioxidant. And the addition of simple spices make it all the more hearty, warm and filling. Next time you are at the grocery store, be sure to pick up this wonderful heathy vegetable to spice it up. I like to leave them separate but together on the plate.

Enjoy the fry as is or
with your favorite spicy ketchup or hot sauce.

On the doorstep of history: Confirm Congresswoman Deb Haaland as Secretary of Interior

Indian Country will watch closely next week’s confirmation hearing for Congresswoman Deb Haaland (NM), an enrolled member of the Pueblo of Laguna, to serve as Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior. If confirmed, Congresswoman Haaland will become the first-ever American Indian person to serve in the capacity of Cabinet secretary. After centuries of invisibility, the best and brightest of Indian Country are rising to the highest positions of leadership across the United States government. This moment is long overdue – and I steadfastly support Deb Haaland’s nomination.
