DuckDuckGo Surpasses 100 Million Daily Search Queries For the First Time
Go Duckduckgo

Privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo reached a major milestone in its 12-year-old history last week when it recorded on Monday its first-ever day with more than 100 million user search queries. From a report: The achievement comes after a period of sustained growth the company has been seeing for the past two years, and especially since August 2020, when the search engine began seeing more than 2 billion search queries a month on a regular basis. The numbers are small in comparison to Google’s 5 billion daily search queries but it’s a positive sign that users are looking for alternatives. DuckDuckGo’s popularity comes after the search engine has expanded beyond its own site and now currently offers mobile apps for Android and iOS, but also a dedicated Chrome extension. More than 4 million users installed these apps and extension, the company said in a tweet in September 2020.

Foxconn gets green light for $270M factory in Vietnam
Foxconn is set to build a new factory to produce tablets and computers in Vietnam, which could be part of Apple’s plan to widen its iPad and MacBook production lines outside of China.
Set to be located in the northern province of Bac Giang, the government said it is expected the facility will produce eight million units of products per year, with it chiefly made up of notebooks and tablets. Since Foxconn is a major assembly partner for Apple, it is possible some of this production could be for iPads and MacBooks. In November, it was claimed Apple asked Foxconn to move some of its iPad and MacBook production out from China to Vietnam, in a bid to diversify production. The US-China trade war was a pressure point on the company, forcing it to come up with ways to minimize the impact of inter-continental political maneuvers.

When I Am Gone
….. And the wind will blow
Sky shall bear iridescent glow
The birds will croon
The trees will sway
But I would drift away
Not sustaining the brunt of fate
Like a candle in the wind
Like a tender plant in heavy rains
I would embrace the darkness and detach from the soil
Blinded, blended and to be earthed leaving this turmoil
Sympathies, agonies, sorrow will pour in
Eyes would bear tears of farewell
Words will flow like melodies exalting me
Will I be there to hear your notions
I would be sleeping unaware of your emotions
Remember me with every breeze that will touch your face
Forgive me for every ruffle I may have caused
Pardon me for every little scribbles I may have on your wall
Never let me go lost in your archives
For may be there, I can eternally survive
