Judges rule against 6 Trump campaign lawsuits to invalidate nearly 9,000 Pennsylvania ballots | KXAN Austin

Six lawsuits filed by Pres. Donald Trump’s campaign have failed to get nearly 9,000 absentee ballots in Pennsylvania invalidated, CNN reports. On Friday, two judges threw out the cases, which the Trump campaign complained should not be counted because their outer envelopes lacked names, dates, and/or addresses. Ultimately, the judges ruled the ballots were valid and they will be processed.

Beaver Program Expands, Increasing Habitat Resilience to Climate Change — LRInspire

Tulalip wildlife staff and volunteers from Beavers Northwest lined up five cages in a Skykomish mountain stream in September, counting down to a synchronous opening of the gates. From the cages, six beavers – a breeding pair, three kits and a subadult – took a moment to get their bearings, then scurried off in all directions, including […]

Unlocking The Hidden Me

#poetry

Undulating, I flew through the air

Prattling and absorbing the secrets of the breeze

Contented and in compliance with the treaty of life

Until I stumbled and went head over heels

One fine day it was

While Foraging I heard moans of despair

My soft heart started melting

As I saw a survivor of hawk attack hiding and fighting for breath

For as long as I can remember being in delusion

My alter ego swayed and lingered with me

Together we dwelled building our roost

Singing our hearts out until the daylight waned

There was a nip in the air, overcast sky

As the chilly winds started to blow by

I opened my eyes to see you nowhere

My frantic search led me to now here

I sang for hours and waited for an echo

As Countless dawns and dusks swept by

Then, unforeseen, you flashed like a…

Warner blames Democratic losses on ‘defund the police’

Where’s your proof? Was it a big issue in races that were lost or was it ineffective campaigns. The Squad won as did many other “progressive” candidates. Work together for progress!

warnermark_102220gn_lead.jpg

Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) said progressives’ calls to “defund the police” were in part to blame for Democratic losses in the House in a cycle when the party was expected to gain seats.”I think the ability, using ter…

Neo-Nazis face an old enemy in Grannies Against the Right | Germany| News and in-depth reporting from Berlin and beyond | DW | 14.11.2020

A person holds a Grannies Against the Right sign at a demonstration in Berlin (picture-alliance/dpa/P. Zinken) She has embraced her role as a granny and politicized it. The Grannies Against the Right initiative had already existed in Austria. In Germany, it started with that Facebook group, which now has more than 3,000 members. In 2019, Ohnweiler and other “grannies” formed an association. There are “grandpas” among them, too; about a fifth of the organization is male.

It was on that day in January 2018 that Ohnweiler was first overcome by the anger that motivates many of the group’s members. She saw a comment on Twitter by a Salzburg-based member of the right-wing extremist Identitarian Movement. This man was moaning about the group of elderly women protesting against Austria’s right-wing populist Freedom Party. Ohnweiler recalled his words as along the lines of: “When you’re too old to be any use to society and emancipation means you never learned to knit.”
