The extensive interview covered a large number of issues – from the European crisis and our fledgling movement to democratise the European Union (to be launched on 9th February in Berlin – WATCH THIS SPACE!), to the Middle East, the global economy, Brazil, the rest of Latin America and its economic reliance on a slowing China. Kayem Foods Inc. Recalls Chicken Sausage Products Due To Misbranding (err, forgot to note they stuffed in pork casings – doah – some folks do not eat pork!)
The products bear the incorrect nutritional labeling information and are encased in pork casings, which are not declared on the label and may elicit allergic reactions in those allergic to pork proteins.The chicken sausage items were produced on Nov. 4, 2015. The following product is subject to recall: [View Labels (PDF Only)] 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages containing “al fresco SWEET APPLE CHICKEN SAUSAGE” bearing identification code “308 BW12 USE/FRZ BY FEB 7, 2016.”The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. P-7839” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

Four Brooklyn men are suing American Airlines after a flight attendant allegedly kicked them off of their return flight from Toronto in December. Women and girl migrants coming into Europe face sexual violence on their journey, Amnesty says. An Iraqi woman claimed a security guard in Germany offered her clothes in exchange for spending time alone with him.
German town to allow male refugees pool access after ‘intensive discussions’
A small German town near Cologne and Bonn has announced they will allow male refugees access to the pool. Last week, the town banned the men from entering after it received sexual harassment complaints.
Belgium’s neighbors concerned about nuclear safety
Germany, the Netherlands and Luxembourg are all concerned about the re-starting of Belgian nuclear reactors. The government there promises better communication, but seems to feel little urgency to act.
Lebanese Christian leader pulls out of presidential race in surprise move
Samir Geagea has withdrawn his candidacy in support of his rival, Michel Aoun. The move is an effort to break an ongoing political deadlock in Lebanon, which has been without a president for nearly two years.
Pregnant women warned of travel to Zika-hit countries
Ahead of the 2016 Olympics, Brazil has advised pregnant women to seek medical advice before traveling to the country. The US has issued travel warnings, while Jamaica says women should postpone plans to become pregnant.
