“[O]ur right to the free exercise of religion is co-equal to our right to life,” according to the campaign website of Ben Sasse, a Nebraska Republican who won his party’s nomination to the United States Senate on Tuesday’.

  1. As always, many thanks for the reblog. Too many people don’t understand the difference between being a member of a church vs. being a member of a society.
    That we’d have to explain that in this day and age makes me actually believe that we may well be headed for an American ‘Dark Age’.

  2. That “dark age” has always been with us – the fear side of our religions. There is a long history of revivalism that used to run in 20-30 year cycles through out our history. Now, however, it is how some make a living so there is a constant drumbeat – fear pays – better suited for theme park rides but… grin. We must keep saying this…
