Moscow police detain 1,200 Caucacusus migrant workers | News | DW.DE | 14.10.2013

Former Dictator Joseph Stalin was from the Caucusus – Ironic now that Moscow residents now think they are not white or caucasian!?!

The site of Monday’s arrest had also been the site of a violent riot overnight. Thousands of people gathered to demand justice in the killing of a 25-year-old local man who was stabbed to death on Thursday night. Surveillance camera footage suggested that the murderer might have come from Central Asia or the Caucusus.

Ten buses of riot police were on the scene in Moscow’s southern Biryulyovo district on Sunday, where they arrested nearly 400 rioters who had disrupted the peaceful march.
The crowd, chanting “Russia for Russians,” “White Power!” and other racist slogans, beat down the doors of a nearby vegetable warehouse where many migrants work and where they thought the suspected killer was hiding.

Children are being tortured in the UK. So why is no-one being prosecuted?

Pride's Purge

(not satire)

Around 20,000 children are estimated to be at serious risk of physical torture in the UK – some as young as 4 years old.

The kids are often held down by several adults and have bits of their tiny bodies cut off without any anaesthetic. Some of them will even die from the trauma.

Obviously this torture is illegal – however there has not been even one prosecution of the perpetrators in the UK. Not one.

How can that be?

The sad fact is that if I had included in the headline the letters FGM – Female Genital Mutilation – I suspect a lot of people reading this post now wouldn’t have bothered.

Why is this horrific crime so easy to ignore? Is it because the children in question are girls? Often from ethnic minorities? Or are some people worried about upsetting ‘cultural sensitivities’?

Well, this…

Apocalypse Emergency—Love’s Wake-Up Call is about a frightening global predicament that everyone seems to be aware of but which few people are giving the attention and seriousness it deserves. Why people would do that and why the media would be inclined to shy away is understandable.

We simply have no way of comprehending the magnitude of what is happening—the end of life on Earth—nor how fast it is occurring—likely in our lifetime—since no living thing on this planet in its multibillion year history has had…

This Website is Banned As Per The Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications

A Separate State of Mind | A Blog by Elie Fares

Yesterday afternoon, Twitter user Raja Farah was busy researching late Lebanese politician Habib Pasha Saad when he stumbled on a page that wouldn’t open.

The notification as to why that particular website was unaccessible was a simple prompt: This website is banned as per the Lebanese ministry of Telecommunications. The above screenshot is what he got.

Using modern technology, which seems to have escaped our ministry of telecommunication, I managed to access the website in question. It turned out to be a directory of people: trying to build family trees, connect with relatives you may not know, etc. There was nothing more to it and definitely nothing less since it was pretty bland as it is. And yet, the website was banned. I tried to access it using a different ISP and the website would refuse to load even though my internet connection worked quite well.
